Battlefield 3 Sprint Specialization – What Is It?

The Sprint specialization in Battlefield 3 allows your characters to not only sprint for longer distances but also lets them sprint faster. It does not increase your unsprinted movement speed, nor does it improve your weapon draw time after sprinting.

Squad Sprint specialization does the same thing as SPRNT spec but gives the bonus to your entire team. As soon as you have unlocked SQD SPRNT, you should always use the SQD version instead of using the singular version.

Battlefield 3 Sprint and Squad Sprint – How to Unlock

The sprint specialization is the first Battlefield 3 spec you unlock. You get the normal version at level 2 and the squad version at level 23. This is your regular rank, not your kit rank. Once you unlock SQD SPRNT in BF3 you can use it on any kit.

Battlefield 3 Sprint Specialization – When to Use It

The SPRNT spec in Battlefield 3 is one of the best specializations to use simply because it increase your movement speed. It is particularly good on Rush Mode maps where territory is extremely important. When you cap a set of M-COMs, being able to sprint towards the next set and grabbing as much territory as you can is extremely important.

SPRNT spec is also great in Rush because it allows you to return to battle faster if your entire team gets wiped. It is less useful on smaller maps or Team Deathmatch where sprinting can get you killed. It does of course help when darting across openings, but whenever you do sprint on you always have to worry about running head-on with an enemy and not being able to shoot fast enough.

Regardless, if you are having a 4-man squad set up their specs so each player gets 4 specs, this is definitely one of the specializations you will want to pick.

Battlefield 3 SPRNT Specialization

The sprint specialization is one of the better all-around specs that players can use, particularly on large maps. It really shines in Rush mode, where maps can be quite large and control of territory is very important. It is less appealing on small, fast-action modes such as Team Deathmatch, where you spend a lot less time sprinting or moving to new territory.
