Battlefield 3 Ammo Specialization

In this quick guide to the Battlefield 3 Ammo Specialization, you will learn what this spec does, when it is unlocked, and how the spec is best used.

Battlefield 3 Ammo Specialization – What is it?

The Battlefield 3 AMMO spec gives you twice as much starting ammo. This only effects bullets. It does not effect explosives (which are increased by the EXPL spec) or grenades (which are increased by the FRAG spec).

SQD AMMO Info

The SQD AMMO (squad ammo) specialization provides double the ammunition for your entire squad. This is almost always something you will want someone in your squad to have, unless you are all support players.

The Battlefield 3 Ammo spec is one of the best specializations you can get in the game. It is perfect for Assault and Recon players in particular, especially if you are good enough to stay alive for long periods.

Support kit players do not need this specialization, unless they choose not to use the Ammo kit. Any Support player who is filling the Support role is likely to want the SUPR specialization anyway.

Engineers are better off sticking to the EXPL perk as their explosives are their real ammo; increasing these is much more useful than increasing their actual bullet count.

Battlefield 3 Ammo Specialization

The Battlefield 3 Ammo Spec is one of the better specializations in the game, particularly for the Assault and Recon kits. These classes are likely to run out of ammo, especially if you are good at the game and can stay alive for long periods. Once you unlock the SQD AMMO spec, be sure to use that over the regular AMMO specialization.
